Implementing health education requires a health education specialist to educate and motivate the public on a specific health issue. The cardiac patients need to be educated on the importance of taking medication as prescribed and motivated to do so. I will launch my plan of action after 3 months of planning it out and receiving appropriate staff to carry it out (Competency 3.1). We will monitor the patients’ success in two intervals. First, we will see how much improvement was made over a 6 month time period. The second measurement of progress will be at the one-year interval (Competency 3.2). The health education specialists will be trained to better explain the fundamentals of a prescribed medication and where/when the patient must take it (Competency 3.3). There will also be a phone number given to the patients at the time of their visit of a health education specialist if they have questions at a later time.
