Throughout my time at Liberty University, I have a little experience in volunteering. Liberty actually requires all their students to complete 20 hours of community service each semester. A large concentration of my volunteering took place with the local teenagers at my church. I was able to plan fun, active games and activities that got the teens up and moving. We live in a nation where physical activity is on the decline. It's important to be continually active at all ages. I also assisted in a health fair at Liberty University. The station I ran revealed student's body mass indexes and educated students on the importance of exercise. During my senior year, I helped run a health fair for girl scouts. I helped educate them on the importance of sleep. At the end of the fair, they earned their health badge. I have always enjoyed helping others and gaining volunteer experience where I can. I hope to continue gaining experience in helping educate others on health.
